SPCC won the toss and elected to bat. Shiv and Wajahath went in to start the innings for SPCC. Wajahath hit the first ball he faced to the boundary. After that both batsmen settled down and started to rotate strike. SCCA opening bowlers were bowling a good line and length. A bowling change from SCCA produced few wickets for them. Both Shiv and Wajahath fell as victims to Amman who was bowling nicely. Amit joined Pramod in the middle. Both Amit and Pramod took singles and kept the scoreboard moving. But soon Amit fell to a good delivery from Glen, caught by Anand. Baseer went in next. Baseer hit some good shots before he got out, caught while trying to accelerate the score. Anish and Saket got out while trying to get some quick runs on the board. Deepak went in at the fall of Saket’s wicket. While wickets are falling at one end, Pramod was batting excellent from the other end. With four overs remaining Pramod took over and in one over of Zeeshan hit 18 runs. He completed his well deserved fifty soon. It was his second one in as many games. Deepak too joined in the action and got few runs on the board. Rajesh finished the innings with hit to the boundary on the last ball to finish the score at 179 runs at the end of 35 overs.
Deepak and Baseer started the proceedings for SPCC bowling. Both of them kept things tight for Ashok and Amman. Deepak was rewarded for his efforts when he had Amman caught by Rajesh. Baseer on the other side collected two wickets in his first spell when he had the both dangerous Ashok and Zeeshan out. Ashok was caught by Amit and Pramod took a nice catch in the slip to get rid of Zeeshan. Saket and Praveen were brought in with double bowling change. Meanwhile Donald had trouble with his leg and forced to retire and in came Glen. He was in a belligerent mood and hit some amazing shots to the fence. But on the other end SCCA kept on losing wickets. Praveen took two wickets quickly. He clean bowled Arpit and had Anand caught in front of the stumps. Amit came in for a bowling change and immediately had Donald, who just came back in to bat, bowled with a beauty. On the other end, Glen was doing his part and keeping SCCA in the hunt. Glen made a fine fifty for SCCA. Deepak was soon again brought in the 25th over and in his last over he had glen go for the slog and that was beautifully caught by Baseer. Ravi got bowled by Amit and Prashant was adjudged LBW at the bowling of Praveen.
SPCC won the game by 58 runs.
